Red delicious apples?
Someone gave me some Red delicious apples and there is no way I am going to be able to eat them all before they go bad so what are some good recipes for apples. Also can they be used to make apple pie or is it a special apple that is used for baking?

Red delicious are OK for pies, but tend to cook up and get mushy, and you want a firmer apple (like a Granny Smith) for a pie. They're OK for applesauce (which you can make and either freeze or can), apple dumplings, apple crisp ...
