OK For anyone who wants to know how to progress your body into PREPARING for labor, here's some advice. I've had almost 3 children now and I'm ready to go today but he's not obviously. So walking, yes walking will prepare your pelvic area better for giving birth it will not necessarily send you into labor no. Sex, yes good for getting you ready for labor, has sent people into labor, but that's not something I'd advise just having 24 hours a day till you go. Squats- Now here is something you want to do before and during labor. Just some gental against the wall squatting, it helps the pelvic bone open up so the baby can "DROP" more and get into the birthing position better. DO NOT DRINK CASTOR OIL this crap will hurt ya. Primrose capsules can help your cervix soften up to loosen stuff up if you insert them 2-3 weeks before hand. ALthough, with me it hasn't helped much a little. You can do any kind of internet search on this and have actual DR related sites tell you HONEST opinions.
i love this answer because I see alot of girls wanting to know how to make the baby shoot out after the water breaks and they don't wanna hear at that time about dialation and other options. Some girls have come in with things in them or have swallowed something to go into labor and nothing is working for them. Some girls will do just about anything not to feel the pain, they scream and cry. It's heart breaking at times especially when they are so young. i love the advice I think it is so true.
you cant force yourself to go into labor--baby is going to come when baby is ready
the 'tricks' only work to help you along if you are already in the (beginning) stages of labor
