Hello newbie here ...
I have a vaio laptop that screen wasnt turning on and i realized that it was the lcd screen connector. when i apply pressure to it the screen would turn on n when i let it go the screen remains on and works fine until computer is turned off or restarted then i would have to reapply pressure to the connector again for the lcd to come back on.
Anyone can help? How can i fix this?
model number is VAIO VPCF13BFX
I did open it up, thats how i found that i had to apply pressure to the connector for the screen to come on at startup. When the screen is finally on, i can ease off the pressure off the connector and it runs fine as long as the computer is runnig but when i either restart or shutdown and turn back on again, i end up back with the black screen and i would have to apply pressure to the connector again.
No other problems aside from that

It sounds like the lcd cable is only touching but is not fully phugged in. Open it up again, and unplug/replug it making sure it goes all the way in till it hits the stop. Then place some tape over the connector to keep it from backing out.
it sounds like there may be a short in the wiring. I would get it repaired.
