A frog is at the bottem of a 30 foot well. Each hour it climbs up 3 feet and slips back 2 feet. How many hours does it take to get the frog out?

A bookworm starts at the outside of the front cover of Volume I of a set of five volumes of books on a bookshelf, and eats his way to the outside of the back cover of Volume V. If each of the volumes is one inch thick, how far has the bookworm eaten?
