unwanted XP computer restart
my sister was just on myspace and yahoo and she started typing and the computer restarted. i asked her how many times it has done it and she said 2. it just did it again. i was wondering what could it be?
i was thinking bad RAM?
Update:it is my moms boyfriends computer and he made my sister a limited account so i cant do any thing. ( my sister is so stupid. she has put viruses on it before)

I think u do have a virus im not really a pc user anymore but still no some tricks...is there a warning sin that pops up? counting down if so go 2 start>run> type: shutdown -a
thats shutdown a space -a....if not try typing that any way itll by u some time...u should run a safe boot...u can force your computer 2 shutdown by holding down the power button down untill your comp. shutsdown...once that happens start it back up a thing should say your computer was not properly shutdown hat would u like 2 do...reoot with safemode enter (use the arrow buttons 2 scroll) also it will take a while 2 load...so when it does sign in and enter your password...(the screen will look like crap) hen run your ant-virus software fix anything like viruses and restart your computer............U can also acess this by restarting your computer and continuously click f8
Not necessarily so I have encountered problems after my brother has been on my space. Run a virus check first. If not go to start all programs accessories system tools system restore. When the prompt screen comes up pick restore my computer to an earlier time. (ask your sis when this started) and go back earlier than that you wont loose any data.
Check in internet properties - settings- make sure you have never dial connection.
