Upgrading my Compaq Presario SR2011WM (2005)?
Hi, Im trying to upgrade my motherboard so it can support 8GB of Ram. Does anyone know what kind of mother board im supposed to get to replace it so it can handle 8GB of ram? Price is kinda an issue just want a good mother board. ~Thanks

You do have to replace the motherboard for this, of course. It is rather hard to replace a proprietary motherboard. Most boards will not fit in the case. For very little you can get a new case with that motherboard and use the other items from the old computer to save a few bucks.
