Why would you take UPS envelopes to a USPS Post Office? Do you return Pepsi to Coke?
Find a UPS store in your area and drop them off there, I am sure they will be happy to use them for their customers.

The post office will not take UPS envelopes. They are two completely different companies.
Take them back to UPS or keep them until you need them.
