Consider two solutions, one formed by adding 10 g of glucose to 1L of water, and the other formed by adding 10 g of sucrose to1L of water.
are the vapor pressures over the two solutions the same? why or why not?
please and thank you!!

when a non volatile solute is added to a volatile solvent lowering of vapour pressure takes place .....the decrease in vapour pressure of solvent depends only on the amount of solute dissolved and not on the nature of solute.....so if we add same amount of glucose and sucrose to 1 l of water same lowering will happen at a particular temperature.........
