I am interested in AF PJ. (I know it is a very difficult job to attain). What I am wondering is, If I enlisted for 4 years and the training is almost 2 does that mean I only have 2 more years of duty? So in other words if I enlist for 4 years at 20 years old will I be out at 24 or will I be out some other time like 25 or 26? Also how often are PJ's deployed on a 4 year contract and how often are the home to see loved ones. Please don't give me websites ex: specialtactcs.com I am just looking for my answers straight forward. Thank you

all active duty contracts start the day you ship to basic training, in all service branch's
yes, it means you will have approx two years of active duty time left, after you complete all training
you will be deployed approx half of each year, then training will take you away from home another couple of months - thats for those assigned to special tactics units
