wwii veterans in los angeles, california?
does anyone know any veterans in los angeles that are still alive? sons or daughters of the veteran are okay as well. i need to interview one before friday, july 16. if possible, they should know/been in the 442nd regimental combat team. thanks!

Try calling the VA Hospital and see if they know of anyone personally.
Ahh the 442nd. I believe, errr I actually know, that they were the highest decorated unit in wwII consisted of Japanese Americans that served in Italy. most of them if not all were volunteers. also they had over a 300% causality rate.
Also when they transmitted sensitive information via radio, they just spoke Japanese, somewhat like the The Wind Whisperers ( Native Americans that spoke Navajo, and other native american languages ) Luckily the Germans never figured out to translate .How ingenious!
