I might end up having to take out a loan of about $26,000 to pay for school. if i want to live away from home, i would need an extra $12,000. will my monthly payments change significantly? (just wondering).
Update:its $26,000 for an 18month LVN program....i would pay it back after i graduate.

$26,000 a year?
I believe federal student loans only cover $5,000 of tuition.
(not sure of the amount).
And you don't have a job, so you won't qualify for a 12,000 personal loan.

Added. I strongly believe federal student loans have a limit of 5,500 a year.
You would need a parent to co-sign on a parent plus loan. Higher interest rates.
Know that some schools require you to live on campus for the first year.
Sounds like you need a school counselor.
Contact one at your high school, or at the school you wish to attend.
