1992 camaro engine swap?
I have a 1992 camaro with a 3.1L v6 and am thinking about swapping it for a GM 290hp 350 crate engine. What would make more hp: a 4-barrel carb or high flow aftermarket tpi unit(which is what i prefer)

Both about the same as far as horse power.
It would run better and get better fuel economy with fuel injection.
However, fuel injection will cost much more. You can put a 4 barrel on for less than $500. Fuel injection will cost more than twice that much.
I have a couple of suggestions. Go to the Summit Racing site.
If you are considering using a carburetor, search item SUM-BBC100 This is a matched carburetor, intake, camshaft, lifters kit. The kit does not include gaskets or fasteners. This kit made 345 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,800 rpm and and 304 hp at 5,500 rpm with this same engine on a dyno. This kit sells for about $480 + shipping
If considering fuel injection search item HLY-700-21 With this kit you will also need to get an intake manifold. There are adapter plates included with the kit which gives you some choices of manifold. The cost of this kit is $1060 + shipping. You will need to figure in the cost of the intake manifold and miscellaneous other parts to complete this system.
