I have an electrical problem in my car, the batter is not getting any charge from the alternator. The alternator is brand new and so is the battery. Im sure the problem is in the wiring somewhere between the alternator and the battery but i dont know how to find it. From the alternator a total of 6 wires run to a relay box and wires from the relay to the battery. Could it be one of the big black relay fuses, and how do i check those? Or could it be the whole relay box? as far as i can tell the wires from the alternator to the relay are ok but im not sure. any advice?

The accelerator pedal is connected to the throttle with a cable. It's possible that the cable is hanging up/sticking. If you don't know where it is, have someone show you where the throttle is, start the car (leave it in PARK and set the e-brake) and move the throttle to see if the cable pulls back. It's just a spring there that makes it return, maybe that is bad. It's a simple thing but make sure there is no obstruction under the actual pedal itself. (Like a mat/rug or something else catching the pedal or lever that goes up into the firewall) This doesn't have anything to do with the oil change, and probably nothing to do with the battery or alternator. The car is almost 15 years old, so electrical components failing will be a concern. The long amount of time to start it could be something simple like bad spark plugs or a clogged fuel filter, or it could be something a bit more pricey like poor fuel pressure from a bad fuel pump. That issue would need more info to diagnose.
