I think that the Gibson Les Paul would be great for the stuff that you want to play , they normally have an H/H (humbucker,humbucker) configuration & the pickup tone of Gibsons that are great for red hot chili peppers songs & other songs in that genre ,John Frusciante also has Gibson Les Pauls & you should know that Gibson is one of the greatest guitar companies ever , so I think you have yourself an answer .Hope I helped.
