His last name is Totten. Unless something major changes between now and April, baby will have his name. I recently fell in love with the name Auden Raphael (Auden after the author, Raphael because bf wanted a Hebrew name and it's one of the few I really like). Is Auden Totten horrible? I've been trying to convince myself that it can work, because it's not the first name I've really liked, but it's the first one I've liked that really felt right, if that makes sense. Should I go back to the drawing board here? Btw, my name isn't necessarily a viable alternative, as it has an -on ending also.

Auden is a beautiful name in my opinion. Somewhat unique, but sounds soft yet strong.
I don't see the point in why it should be that horrible? Because of two 'en' endings?
If you're sure about the name Auden, it feels right (very important), why change it up all again? Because Totten is a name that doesn't flow that well with Auden? How many times in everyday life are you gonna use his full name? "Auden Totten get over here!".
If you're looking for suggestions on Auden:
Avery? (but it's a completely different name)
Arno? (I don't really like it)
Armin (n ending again)
You know what? Just go for Auden! It's not ridiculous!
Congratulations!!
It's too rhymey. What about Raphael Auden Totten? Then he can just go by his middle name if he prefers.
Or if you choose to erase Auden, I'd suggest looking for a name that doesn't end in anything like -en, -in, -an, etc.
Personally- i would choose something else. But it's up to you and if it doesn't bother you that much then that's fine.
It's not that it just ends in the same sound- it nearly completely rhymes. For example Jason Totten doesn't sound quite as bad as Auden Totten.
I love the name Auden, but Auden Totten has a very funny sound to it.
I like Auden Raphael (1st), Auden Zachary (2nd), Auden Tobias Totten (3rd)
It's kind of hard to say... Totten is very abrupt, whereas Auden seems to go on forever... It doesn't matter that your last name ends in 'on'. What matters is whether or not it's as abrupt as Totten.
Yes its horrible
