I'm 15, very soon to be 16 and I am very interested in body piercings. I have a few and I plan on getting more and I currently have one tattoo. I'm Wondering how old you have to be to start asking around for a apprenticeship? I know I should take blood borne pathogen classes and CPR classes before I even think about asking around. I just really want to get into it, it all looks so lovely! Any details I've missed?

It's really good that you're actually starting to get prepared and know the steps you need to take (the classes, etc), instead of just being like "Uh dude, I like piercings and stuff. I'm gunna do that." lol
Anyways, you have to be at least 18 to get a credible apprenticeship in my area and that's probably true for most places. Until then, get the classes done and it doesn't hurt to go to your piercer or another good one in the area and ask them about it. Maybe they know the best place to sign up for the classes or other things you should know before investing a lot of time and money into this career. And then when you are old enough you will be all ready to go back to them, and they should be impressed with your professionalism so it should be easier to get the apprenticeship!
Good luck :)
You customarily need to be 18 to come to be an apprentice bcuz of nips and genitals. However in case you take the blood lessons and get in tight with a tat artist you might traditionally hand around in the shop and watch.
Generally 18 at least.
There's no harm however in speaking to piercers about it as a career, and what would be useful.
