i like this guy and i think he knows but im not sure if he likes me back i have asked his friends who he likes and one of his friends told me that if he told me he would kill him for telling me and i dont know if that means something or not what do you think???

it really could mean anything. from the way you're explaining it, it sounds like he likes YOU. you should ask this guy you like straight forward, but in a casual way.
