Would waking up once per night for roughly twenty minutes be detrimental to one's health (such as cognitive ability) even if 8 -10 hours of sleep is achieved in total?
Probably not.
I wake up on average 5 times a night for twenty minutes or so at a time.
Consider yourself lucky, because I usually end up getting only 4 hours sleep, even if I don't wake up.
