Can I travel on a photo copy of my passport?
I put my passport through the washing machine, and it will take 6-8 weeks to get a new one, i want to fly from Australia to Ireland in 4 weeks. can I travel on a photo copy of the passport i put through the washing machine?

You definitely can't travel on a photocopy of your passport but you should be able to get a non-biometric emergency passport with limited validity before you need to travel. Get on to it ASAP.

How badly is it damaged? If your passport has been significantly damaged, especially the book cover or the page displaying your personal data and photo, you will need to apply for a new passport. If you are unsure whether your damaged passport is acceptable, you should present it to your nearest Australian Passport Office, or call APIS on 131 232 for information on what constitutes major damage.
If your passport is seriously damaged you must apply for a new passport by completing a full application form and provide documentary evidence of your Australian citizenship and identity.
In addition, you will be asked to complete a General Declaration by passport applicant (B11) form detailing how the passport came to be damaged. This should be lodged with your full application. You will be handed a letter asking you to surrender your damaged passport at the time of lodging your application. The letter will also advise that you may request the return of the damaged passport and of your rights of review under passport legislation.
According to the Australian Passport website, your new passport should be mailed to you within 10 working days after you submit all information and documentation they require, so there should be plenty of time to get a new passport before your Ireland trip.
Basically no, you need the real thing. this is because they need to stamp your travel to its pages too. You could have rushed your replacement of the passport so as not to have a problem and gotten your passport on time.

Get in touch with the Indian Embassy there and seek urgent passport, i am sure u will get it in a weeks time.
