I have a electric guitar, its kinga shitty. I was thinking i could take parts off my guitar and change them with parts from a bass guitar. And just have the same neck and body. Would it fit? Would it sound right?

The best way to turn a guitar into a bass????
Sell the guitar and buy a bass.
Good luck.

In order to make a guitar sound like a bass, tune the 6th string low, set the amp to clear, turn the bass up, turn down the mids and turn up the trebles. But no you can't turn a electric guitar into a bass.
no, for multiple reasons. firstly, you need bass guitar strings. bass guitar strings are ultra thick and would NOT be able to fit through the bridge, let alone fit through the tuning pegs. also, guitar pickups are much different than bass pickups and would not be able to handle that much bass. if you really want to though, i suggest getting about 16 gauge strings and tuning your guitar down an entire octave, but unless your guitar is a baritone guitar (which i'm guessing isn't), it's going to sound like ****. sorry :P
