Computer question,how to down load power piont office?

We tryed to down load power point office,but when we tried to

do it,it came up as failed.Please can any one tell us how to go about it. Many thanks.x

You've asked a question that could have several answers, so I'm going to take some liberties and make assumptions to try and help.

The first assumption I need to make is that you are trying to download some version of Microsoft Office, and for some reason only the Powerpoint application.

The second assumption I hope I can make correctly is that you are downloading from Microsoft's website. Any third party (non-Microsoft) website is going to be chancy at best and dangerous at worst.

Now, the process should be pretty simple. Your best bet is to go to office.microsoft.com and then click on the Products section. This new page will have a link to a 60-day free trial for Office 2007.

Voila! You download, install, and enjoy (for 60 days).

Very few reputable places I've found allow downloading the non-trial version for free, and even less so allow you to download only one portion of the office suite (only PowerPoint for example).

Now that is your best bet, but what you could be doing is trying another, random website that offers it for free. This is probably a mistake, and there's a good chance that whatever you did download, or tried to at least, is a virus-laden PC death trap. Bad news. In this case, the download could have failed because your antivirus software blocked it after a scan, the website itself cut the connection, or your internet connection otherwise bugged out.

The last option that I'll go into is you're using a bittorrent client and trying for some P2P downloads. This is fine, and to be honest you can get some good software that way. It's probably illegal for you to do it, but it's possible. In this case internet connectivity as well as port and firewall setup could all effect the download.

Long and short of it is this:

Make sure you are downloading legitimate software through microsoft or an authorized reseller. Don't use random third party download sites. Buy the software at Best Buy to be 100% safe.

Open workplace is large, confident its secure. the only issue you will need is going back and forth between the be conscious classes and the excel (OO calls it "Calc"). it will artwork, i do it at artwork, yet often times formatting gets slightly twisted up. once you're basically making use of it for your self and not swapping back and forth on desktops you would be fantastic.
