Hello, I will be studying abroad soon for an academic year and therefore will be in need of more than one suitcase. I was wondering if Delta airlines will allow me to bring a Herschel Heritage Backpack and a small carry-on suitcase with the dimensions, 20" x 14.5" x 9" + 2" (6.85 lbs)*. The suitcase is a part of the Calpack Milk Marble Astyll 2-piece luggage set. I have emailed Delta airlines three times asking the same question and I have yet to get any sort of reply. I have never flown before and would like to know if I am allowed these items as I would not like to check both my suitcases. If anyone knows the answer to my question it would be a huge help. Their policy is extremely confusing. Thanks,
Abby

I don't know what is confusing. As carry-on luggage, you are allowed one "carry-on" size bag and one "personal item. The dimensions of the carry-on size bag are given on Delta's website, which says "approximately 22 x 14 x 9" or a combined measurement of 45". I think 14.5" may be called approximately 14". I do not know what you mean by the "+2" you give in your description. I also do not know what size a Herschel Heritage backpack is. A personal item has to fit under the seat ahead of you. I take a daypack as my personal item. It's about 13" x 13" x 5". Anything that size or an inch or two bigger should be fine.
