I took the ACT Test and didn't pass Elementary Algebra. My question is, since I don't want to take remedial classes. Can I prepare myself and just take the ACT again for math? Because I don't want to have a 096 course on my transcript. Does having a remedial class on my transcript affects my chances of getting into a good school?

High school remedial classes will not have a negative affect on your transcript, but doing poorly in math will. The remedial math class will help you. It could be taken in conjunction with your own math study and review.
