Electric guitar into PC/Riffworks help.?
Hey all. I'm trying to play my electric guitar into my PC. I got RiffWorks software and a 1/4 to USB cord. However when I plug the guitar into the computer and open RiffWorks, no sound shows up. Do I need another piece of hardware or some additional converter?

You have to buy speakers in order for it to work.
Going through the PA will give a purer acoustic sound. Guitar amps always add a certain amount of distortion, even on a clean setting.
Hello. Riffworks requires devices with ASIO drivers. Download an ASIO driver and it should work.
Same thing is happening to me. I think you need to buy speakers or headphones, and plug them into your recording device to hear. If not please email me and tell me how to get it to work.
