I have two workbooks open. I sort one workbook, then edit the other workbook accordingly. I'd like to undo that sort in the first workbook, but still keep the changes I made to the second workbook. Excel undoes every change I've made in the 2nd workbook since the sort if I undo the sort. Is there any way to keep these workbook actions separate?

instead of opening 2 workbooks in 1 Excel.
you can try opening 2 separate Excels.
-close your excel
- open your 1st workbook file as normal
- click start
- click all programs
- click microsoft office
- click Excel (you should have a completely different excel open)
- click file
- click open and open your 2nd file
you each excel will have its own undo function memory.
good luck
