i would do this trade. nicks is **** until he can make it a full season and not be under victor cruzs shadow. gore is good, but bush is primed for a breakout season with detroit. he will be alot better than you think. and reggie wayne. yea he may be old, but just last year he was in the top 5 targeted wide receivers in the end zone. its going to be a hit or miss trade. i like bushs upside and wayne red zone targets.
No, I don't particularly like Hakeem Nicks or Reggie Wayne, but Frank Gore is better than Reggie Bush (imo). Reggie Bush is still a question mark for me. He is NOT a good RB. For Reggie Bush to be good, he will have to be utilized as a TE (which is how they will use him) and in Detroit's pass-happy team, that's very possible, but has yet to be seen.
I would prefer to stick with Frank Gore and keep Nicks over Reggie Wayne (to me there is little doubt that Nicks is potentially better than Reggie Wayne who has a lot of youngsters nipping at his heels).
@UHaveSandInUrVagina - just to clarify, I'm not saying that Bush will "line up" as a TE, I'm saying he will be used like a TE is used. Obviously, from a blocking perspective Bush won't be used like a TE (for one, Bush sucks as a blocker). I'm saying from an offensive stand point, TEs are used as short yardage gains when the WRs are covered. This is how Reggie Bush will be used. He will get on the outside and be the security blanket for Stafford when Calvin Johnson is covered. Nobody open and Stafford is being rushed? Drop it off to Reggie Bush--that's how TEs are used and that's how Reggie Bush will be used.
I am going to have to disagree with the fella above claiming Bush will be lined up as a TE. lol... Have you ever played football??? Bush will never line up at the TE but will line up frequently at the slot during an empty back field. I could see Reggie wayne getting 300-400 more yards and 4 more TD's than Nicks this season. As for Frank Gore, I had him last season and when Colin took charge it cut into his rushes and receptions quite a bit. The choice is yours to make. I would go with Bush and Wayne personally. And for the guy that said Bush will line up at tight end....come on man, get with the program!
