Alright, so...
Sent to me in the mail today was a traffic light (camera snapshot) fine for a left turn on a red light (God knows why I didn't notice it and made the turn, probably because it was in a neighborhood). Three pictures on the paper sent to me showed only the back of the car; my face was not identified, therefore, they did not put points on my license.
With that said, is there any way to get out of the fine? Can they still legally fine me even though they could not identify me on the camera, or can I tell them that someone else was borrowing my car at the time?
Again, this is in Florida, specifically, Orlando in the Orange County area. Thanks for your help, law peeps. Also, this was sent to my dad, because he's the owner of the policy that has my license plate, but I'll have to pay the fine if I can't get out of it.

you can tell them what you like but the registered owner of the car WILL be getting the fine and it is not so much about the points not being able to be put on but you will see that this is NOT from the local police but a company that in fact runs the cameras and the collection of the fees.
Now go back to the piece of paper and look VERY carefully is that your car, is that CLEARLY your number plate, and don't say that you got the ticket so they got it right..................they in fact often DO NOT get it right......have had to deal with 3 of these tickets, some how the camera reads my sons plate and we get the tickets sent here, the thing is he has NEVER been to Miami with the car and yet we are on ticket 3 from them...........they state the car is red [it is slate grey] they state it is a nissan, his is a honda [or that car was] and the best one was his car was on base in CALIFORNIA while he was on deployment and they still felt he could have been driving in Miami......so if after all that you are SURE that is your car then just pay the dang fine they add interest charges VERY quickly, so either challenge it [if you can] or PAY IT [and keep a very clear note of it being paid............
In Florida red light camera tickets are a civil penalty. But you get insurance points. Also no facing your accuser either, and your dad is guilty until proven innocent.
Florida made it your dad's problem. Your dad officially has to write an affidavit ratting you out. I put the link to it below. After he rats you out, then Florida will send a ticket to you. Then you respond. Do not make it easy for Florida to collect its money. The whole operation is a scam.
Below is the link to the Orlando city ordinances. One of the defenses is that "The steady red traffic control signal was inoperable or malfunctioning." For left turns, the red signal is always broken--it comes on about 3 seconds too early according to the laws of physics. See redlightrobber.com for the problem with turns. Your only recourse for the short yellow to take the papers on redlightrobber.com to the Florida State Board of Engineers. They will see the problem in about 30 seconds. But Florida city officials and the red light camera companies, and judges do not understand the physics to know you are really innocent.

Your tag was taken in the snapshot.
That is sufficient for their purposes.
Why conjure up excuses to avoid this.
So what your face was not identified.
Pay the fine and move on.
