Golf....nol consistancy....?
I set up my drives the same way, sometimes they go straight, other times they go left....then again right.
My stance appears to be the same, I go through the same routine, but my ball flies all over the place. Any ideas tto correct this?

There could be several reasons.
1. The grip...
A person that holds the club too hard with a right hand or with left hand...can end up slicing or hooking (right or to the left)
2. You might not be following through enough and end up slicing the ball.(to the right on a right handed golfer)...you need to be pointing the club head toward the hole...after contact with the ball...also...for a shot to the left, you might not be incorporating a proper backswing...the best way is to video tape yourself and compare it with professional golf swings...or you can just read some books and stop yourself on each step of the swing and see whether you are in the correct positiong....eg. you might not be bending your right elbow to the right degree...or you could be cocking your wrists too much, or incorrectly.
3. Stop at each point of your swing and check yourself..with the pictures and instructions you find in the following...

try the following sources
Driver set up. Start out with a sound grip. Choose a target to hit to. Align with your shoulders. At set up, put more weight on your right side than left(if you are a right handed golfer). Your arms will make a V shape if you look in a mirror. It is like a pendulum. On the take away, keep club head square and go low and slow. Think of it as the face looking at the ball. It is not necessary to keep your left arm straight if you are right handed in the backswing. It is more important at impact. On the downswing, shift your weight forward and bring the club back like you started. Face should be square and the ball should go straight. You must practice.
unlike the guy before me said..your grip should not be equal...your grip should be hard only with the last three fingers of your left hand(if your righty) the rest of your grip should be firm enough to not allow slippage but not tight (think of trying to grip an egg...firm but not hard enough to break it)
golfing consistently has more to do with whats goin on in your head than anything else...how many points are you able to make sure you have correct everytime you swing...
taking the stance...bending the knees...eyes on the ball...head down...left arm straight...active wrists at top...swing round the hips...accelerate through the swing...
any and everytime i have a bad swing after a good one...i have missed one of those key components to my swing...
a lil mental trick i have used well with my shots now is to imagine myself taking the perfect practice swing...only there is the ball in the way...seems to take a bit of the edge off of my mind and concentration...
ps also...it could be that you try to kill the ball rather than hit it...by doig this you wil have a phenominal hit a few times, but overall your consistency will suffer
I assume your a better player I do the same thing check your grip make sure its not to strong but my number one key is fluid balance good players know consistency comes from balance but sometimes they over do it and get frozen over the ball on their backswing this causes tight muscles no real turn and shots That vary from pull hooks to push slices.
nope good question i have the same problem but i took a leason 1 time with a guy and he said it all depends on your follow through but you also have to keep ur head on the ball too hit it
