my r404a hoshizaki commercial ice maker isnt getting power to the board but the compressor works. i think i need a new transformer but not sure.any ideas?
By stating that your compressor still works, are you referring to a remote unit with the condenser and condenser elsewhere? If you are not getting power to your board and the compressor is inside the I/M unit.. doesn't really make sense.. :-/ .. put in Mod # of I/M... more helpful. Refrigerant type doesn't really tell much about a machine....
First and foremost.... Use volt meter to make sure you are getting voltage to unit..if no, check out your circuit breaker. if yes, then access control board. With power hooked up check voltage across transformer on each side to see if you have your full voltage on one side and the stepped-down voltage on the other side. These things always have a schematic print out somewhere in them... check on the insides of the panels..
