How can i get a client's computer username seamlessly onto a php intranet site_?
I am using a linux/Apache/Php server on an intranet and i need a way of passing the clients logged in username (windows xp) to the server, dont mind using javascript or anything that would require no further installation, Just to clarify i dont need the username logged into the server just the client machine.

Now why would you want that I ask myself?
Retrieving user name in this scenario must be done client-side. JavaScript would be prohibited from doing that for security reasons. You could write an ActiveX control that would accomplish this task, but this solution would only work with Internet Explorer and might set off all kinds of security bells and whistles.
Just insert the disc into the disc compartment on your computer and it will automatically load to the Windows Media Player. Once it is there, go to YouTube and select Upload Video. YouTube will search Windows Media Player and find your video. Of course, if you have loads of videos then you have to select which one you want it to upload.
