How do I remove Trojan:DOS/Aluereon.E?
OK, so i reformatted my hard drive twice now and did a reinstall of windows vista on my computer but i still have that stupid rootkit virus called Trojan:DOS/Aluereon.E. I dont know what else I can do to remove it. Any suggestions would help.I have tried Tdss killer several times, it has not worked for me

If you said you've already tried that and even reformatted the hard drive, it is possible that you didn't remove the rootkit from the active partition that contains the boot loader. The boot loader is usually saved in a separate active partition that is about 100MB in size. I suggest that you completely delete all partitions including that one and create a new partition table. Windows will recreate that small partition when you reinstall it.
