I have a Xbox 360 external hard drive, a 4GB Xbox 360 slim, and a hard drive transfer device (cable). I am trying to get the empty 14 GB of hard drive from the external to the 4GB or at least use the 14GB hard drive while using the 360 Slim. I'm trying to download some maps off of a game to the 4GB but obviously its too small..please help i have spent about 70$ for the map pack and the transfer cable.

A hard drive is like a cup. A cup can hold a certain amount of water according to it's size. You can't transfer the empty space in one cup to another, only the substance the cup is holding. You could try moving some non-essential items in the 4GB 360 to the external drive to free up more space in the machine. There may be a way to point the download directly to the external drive. Probably through the menu for the download, or in the storage settings for the 360.
If the hard drive on your Xbox 360 Slim is full, your only options to get more space are:
A. Get the 250 GB Hard Drive and use that.
B. Buy a USB Flash Drive for your Xbox 360 and transfer some data there.
You cannot access data on an external hard drive with the Slim. (When you say external hard drive I'm assuming your talking about the one for the first Xbox 360)
Also keep in mind that unless you buy a flash drive designed for use with an Xbox 360, you will have to give up a fraction of the space to have it compatible with the Xbox 360. (I recommend buying a 4GB or more)
Gaylo :P? no longer particular what you advise approximately xbox stay game. yet whilst your talking approximately setting up video games comparable to Black ops and unsafe company from the cd or buying them from marketplace place and then into the flash potential i'd say Avrage 5-12gb around. So the flash potential is adequate for a million-2games 3 in case you fortunate with previous video games.
