Folding knives has spring locks to keep the blade in place during use. Just gotta trigger/release it. Most you just push down on the side of the blade and close. Some you push on the base of the blade in the handle, where your fingers grip while holding it or on the back under your palm.
Just mess around with it (carefully!) and you'll figure it out.
