I'm building my own Gaming computer. I was looking at the nvidia GTX590. I notice it beats the GTX 680. Also noticed you can hook 3 monitors up from the GTX590 but only 2 for the GTX 680. I want to run 3 GTX590 video cards is this possible? Also the motherbored im looking at can hold 48gb of ram do i need all that ram or is too much ram a bad thing?
Update:I don't know how to reply so. any one wanna answer that for me?

What motherboard are you going to get ? I've only seen 2 video cards used at 1 time . You don't need 42gb of ram at all , I have 12gb of ram and I never use more then 6gb at a time ! In my opinion 2 gtx590s would be ample !
48GB of RAM? Are you serious? Are you going to run a server for a large company? Even 4GB will do for most applications on a simple desktop computer even if you are a gamer.
Now for the graphics card, you can only have as much as 2 cards if your motherboard is capable of SLI or Crossfire. It depends on the motherboard.
you purely open up the computing gadget case and plug the video card interior the particular slot. AGP or PCI-E. determine you have the computing gadget became off and when you place the cardboard in you start up the computing gadget returned up. it may be Plug N Play yet while it would not at once deploy the recent hardware you may deploy the drivers from the cd that got here with the cardboard. in case you haven't any longer have been given the cd then in simple terms bypass to function new hardware and enable homestead windows discover the drivers for you or you may bypass to the vidoe card producer's website and seek for the utility on their website. good success getting it up and working.
4 maximum, it's Quad SLI (or 4-Way SLI) if you have GeForce or CrossFireX if you have Radeon. Check your PCI-Express slots.
It all depends on how many video card slots you have.
