I'm curious about the cost of Mirena IUC contraception. I'm interested in possibly getting it, but I'm unsure of how much I'll have to pay. Does anyone know, or have experience with this contraceptive? If you're currently using it, what do you think of the results? Is it really as safe and effective as it's claimed to be?
Thanks in advance for all answers. I truly appreciate your help.

I got it, and my insurance paid all of the costs. Mine was in for almost 4 months and came out. I thought it would be the answer to our problems with the pill and the shot, since these held such a high level of hormones that I couldnt lose weight, and I became moody. The Mirena increased my weight, and increased the acne to levels that I didnt see as a teenager. My mood swings were off the charts. I did my research and found out that more women get pregnant with it than my doctor led me to believe. For women that lose their IUD like I did, it is usually due to a miscarriage caused by the IUD being there. This was unfortunately the case for me, as the miscarriage began shortly after it coming out.
I wasnt fond of it, but different BC options work for different people.
Just do your homework as you would anything else :)
I have no idea how much it charges due to the fact that my coverage took care of all of it however my doc informed me that after the first year of getting it in it will pay for itself. The procedure was a bit uncomfortable and it felt like I had menstrual cramps that day. After that for the next month i might spot every from time to time but after that month i've now not obvious a spot of blood considering that. I love it and will probably be taking it out a year early given that that I can be attempting for a different child however after that little one is born as a way to be my birth manage again with out question. I like it and would advise it to anybody! I have the contraceptive that has the hormones in it that's why i do not get my period.
I was going to get it, and here in Canada it would have cost about 250-300 CND.
It wouldn't suggest it, as you do get pregnant, and then the growing embroy is detroyed by it. So, in a way it is like abortion, just you don't know it. It can happen over and over again, and I couldn't live with that!
It is a good choice though if this doesn't bother you, as it lasts for 5 years. Look into getting the non-hormonal one, I've heard it is easier on your system (5 of my friends have/had it).
The cost in Ontario is $420 at Shoppers Drug Mart, as of this month.
It costs $1,000 her in charleston sc
