According to Intel's article to be linked below, Centrino Duo simply indicates that its a mobile computer processor family designed with energy saving features and a small computer form for smaller and lighter weight cases. Core 2 Duo processors can be Centrino Duo processors if they are being used in the format for laptop computers, if not, they are called Core 2 Duo's in regards to Desktop applications.
