I am a student doing an extensive research project on the treatment of the mentally ill. I am interested in interviewing ex-patients; but am having trouble finding anyone who is willing to do an interview. I think having first-hand accounts would give me a better understanting of this topic and add credibility to my project.
Where should I look to talk to ex-mental patients?

I have been diagnosed with major depression, Borderline Personality Disorder and suffered from suicide ideation. I am also a recovering alcoholic.
I would be glad to help you out, but I don't know the best way to do that.
Does anyone else have some ideas?
what do you mean by survivor? Do you mean recovered or just out of the hospital? I've been in two hospitals, and am considered to be a lot better, but I would still say I'm not exactly well
"psychiatric survivor"? Sounds like you're biased before doing any "research".
