Hey guys. I have a really annoying problem at the moment. My 3DS is just refusing to turn on. I press the button, nothing. I press and hold the power button, still nothing. It's fully charged (I've even put it on charge several times just to make sure) but it just will not turn on.
It had this problem a little while ago but eventually the power light came on and off but not the screen. THEN the screen finally came on and I was able to play it but then during play it turned itself off :/
Now a couple of weeks ago I tried to turn it on. Again, nothing happened. So I charged it, THEN tried, still nothing. After about ten minutes of continually pressing the power button, it finally came on and I could play and it actually stayed on too. But... then yesterday I tried to turn it on and it just straight up won't do anything now. I pressed the power button loads of times, nothing.
I've only owned it for a year. It's been kept in mint condition (safely inside a soft pouch when not in use) and has never been dropped or had anything spilt on it or nothing. I just don't understand why it's just died all of a sudden.
I wondered if it was because I took a break from playing it, like a month or so but surely they don't break just from not being used? That's pathetic. I have a life too.
Has anyone got any advice? Has anyone had this problem before?
And I guess more importantly: is it worth paying for another one that might end up doing the same thing?
Thanks a lot in advance :) I wanna play me some Zelda! x)

You might need to send it to Nintendo for a Free Repair.
http://www.nintendo.com/
Find to part of the site for repair for your 3DS, and they will give you a list of problems.
I think you need to select "black screen/blank screen" problem.
And then you can do the rest and select: send instructions in the mail for how to mail.
And they will send you a UPS sticker with instructions on how to mail it to Nintendo.
You will have to pay like 86 cents for the package.
But you will get it back in your own Home Mail in less than 7 days, after you have mailed it to them.
If you have a guarantee on it, I suggest you return it. If not, try sending it in to Nintendo. Im sure if you explain to them they'll understand. It's ethier one of these problems:
1.) The charger is not working right.
2.) You played the 3DS while it was charging.
3.) The battery has issues.
Hope I helped,
