Delante means in front of. example el lo dijo delante de los niños. he said it in front of the kids.
If your question is. he's ahead of Josefina, then the translation it is. el (va adelante) de Josefina
Nope.
It would be
Él va delante de Josefina
Without that "a" and is "va"
