is western classical is similar to popular music?
actually , i want to learn vocals so , i found an institution , who teaches western classical , but i want to go to pop music , someone told me that it's similar to pop , is it right ???

The basic ingredients are the same. Singing styles could be very similar or very different, depending on what you mean by "pop" but it'll be an asset for you regardless. Lots of good pop and rock vocalists can sing classical vocals as well. That's where many of them started out.
