I went with my grandfather today to talk to his accountant about setting up a trust and they said that because he has early Alzheimers that he will have to take a some legal test that determines if he can make decisions on his own before signing a trust. They said I could look up a sample version of the test online so he can get a idea of what they will ask him, but I don't know what the name of the test is.
Update:I was googling and found something called
"Hopkins Competency Assessment Test", is this what they were most likely talking about?

Most attorneys just ask a few questions such as who the president is, the date, etc. When they are ascertaining mental fitness for things like wills and trusts. I wonder if they are going to require him to get tested at a community mental health center. That's what we did for our criminal defendants.
