What is more important than his debt is his income. He will need to earn at least $24,413 a year in order to sponsor you for a greencard (more if you have more children). As long as that is the case you will be fine.
Nevertheless it is certainly a good idea to fix his debt and make a plan how to reduce it. It also will cost about $2000 to get you a greencard.
nope his credit history will not affect anything, unless you have joint accounts then its will affect your credit score, but for marriage its wont matter
