I plugged my iPod into the computer so that I could put some music on it, but it never showed up. No "do not disconnect" message was on the ipod screen, and the computer didn't even realize the ipod was connected. I then tried to go to the main menu on the ipod.
It's completely frozen! It won't let me do anything! I even tried holding down the menu + play/pause button, it didn't turn off.
Suggestions?
Update:Thank you :)

try holding the off button + the circle button and wait until a white apple shows up in the middle. that worked for me, good luck
You may have to plug you iPod via usb into your computer while holding the home button, don't let go until you see something come up on your screen (I've forgotten as I've done this ages ago) you should be able to let go. Once let go wait a moment and you should see a pop-up on your iTunes telling you to restore your iPod. To get your iPod back you have to reset your system, everything like your music, pictures, apps, etc will be erased (lets just hope you have a backup of your music and apps which you most probably will do. This shouldn't be a problem. if it really is, you could either research on the internet, preferably sites like you-tube to help.
Hope this helps!
