She should be fine. I've had dogs who ate chocolate before and it didn't phase them at all.I'd keep an eye on her if she seems to be lethargic of starts to trow up bring her to the vet, but I doubt she will. :)

With a dog this size, and that small an amount of chocolate (was it milk choc? - dark choc is more lethal) I'd just keep an eye on her rather than run to the vet. It's toxic to dogs for sure, but to be honest, unless they get into a huge amount, or on a regular basis, chances are all she'll have is maybe a loose tummy.

If you are worried, phone, but my bet is they'll tell you the same.

Ok, i am a huge dog person so people ask me questions like this alot. 1st: make sure your dog is breathing normal and not whining or anything

2nd: feel there nose (they'll probably try to lightly resist you but do your best) if it is dry and warm, they may not be feeling too well so try to get her to drink some cool water and lie down in the shade.

over all, your dog should be fine, the worst that might happen in this case would probably be an upset stomach. but large amounts can certainly hurt her, so try to keep it out of her reach from now on. good luck :)

there's nothing you can do. my dog ate half a chocolate bar when i wasn't looking but she was ok- just keep an eye on her. it can only hurt her if she has an excessive amount and since you said it wasn't a big bag then that's ok. take her to the vet if she starts acting weird.

Was it milk chocolate or white chocolate?...if so there should be no worries, your dog may vomit, but if it was dark chocolate or semi sweet....you should probably be phoning the vet & actually I would anyways since you aren't for certain how much the dog consumed.

Call your vet now and ask them if you need to bring her in - depends on exactly what kind of chocolate.
