If you mean the character, then I guess it's because he doesn't really believe in it. He thinks it is all a big laugh, and is just going along with it. Whereas Katie has been followed by the demon since childhood, Micah doesn't have any experiences with it, and may think Katie is just seeing/hearing things. Plus he is the cocky type, and thinks he can outwit a demon with a video camera. Just my opinion, but I reckon that is why.

Micah's character always came across as one full of false bravado. He felt like he had to act tough, he HAD to be the man and protect Katie. I guess in a situation like the one he was in, acting scared of something that might not even be there just wasn't an option for him even though he was genuinely frightened. Acting aloof, like he didn't care and was just completely indifferent to it - going so far as to treat everything like a joke - was just his way of dealing with it.

I think it's because he's never he hasn't personally experienced it when he was younger or thinks there's a logical explanation for them. or he's a guy who doesn't reveal his emotions too much
