this is how the message was given to me.. im sure there are some spelling errors/grammar errors.. I understand it for the most part, but I want to confirm what I think it's saying.. native speakers to translate please, i have obviously used google translate for the pieces i don't understand..

what I seem to understand is: "hi, hope you are well, i think its best that we are apart, take care"

Whoever wrote you that message really needs some grammar lessons. Here's what they said: Hi, I hope that you are well, be firm (this is the part I'm talking about that needs some serious grammar lessons) like is "to" (not even a word but I think they were trying to type "yo") I think that it's best that I go away, take care.
