Need a portuguese person who has made these to give me a recipe please.
I would call these a particular type of light and airy donut that can be made at home and is also made outdoors in a very large vat at portuguese festivals.
My aunties and granma used to make them at home for feast day festivals when the house was full of people and a band playing down the street.
The recipe I'm looking for calls for these particular 'donuts' if you will, be sprinkled with cinnamon sugar after they have been drained on brown paper bags.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? The recipe I'm looking for was and still is very popular in Peabody, Massachusetts (& likely in Peabody's sister cities of New Bedford and Fall River, Mass as well). I'm looking for the smaller quantity recipe I can make at home, like my now deceased family once did. Haven't lived in Mass for decades.
Tried to find this online with no luck. Only my favorite Yahoo answers friends can help me now. Not looking for regular donut recipes. Thank you so much everyone for any and all Filoza recipes.

They are called "filhóses".
Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 kg flour
• 80-10 eggs
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 cup brandy (small)
• 1 / 2 cup milk
• a pinch of salt
• Olive Oil
Preparation:
Place the flour and baking powder in a bowl in the middle of the flour with a pinch of salt. Begin to knead with your hands, then pour the brandy and milk. Scroll to kneading thrown in the eggs one by one, slowly. When everything is involved, work the dough with olive oil dipping your hands until dough is detached from the bowl. Continue to knead for two minutes. Allow to rise for two hours.
Make small balls of dough and finally put to fry. Then, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
(by the way, there's a troll with no life and many accounts that sometimes likes to thumb down my answers, just FYI)
