I still think the whole thing is a sham. Musharraf is not one to tolerate opposition at this point, and he is not doing to well in bringing about sustainable growth with the newfound money from US aid in exchange for help in their war on terror.
An independent judiciary is key to a country's development, and this crisis highlights Pakistan's growing problems between the leadership and the people. Though I'm not a huge fan of either Bhutto or Sharif, I hope that their efforts succeed in reinstating the judge and returning order the judicial institution.
Gallo certainly hit the mark. I guess Mr. Musharaf should have had a serious thought before firing the chief justice like that.
General Musharaf is not an elected leader. Political freedom with the the exception of law and order, elections are the way forward for Pakistan.
