I consider qualities over popularity. It's more important, in my opinion.
If it's a school president election, a girl with higher popularity might win.
If it's a high school or college, chances are it'll be more about popularity than presidential qualities. On a national level, I listen more to their platforms and their thoughts upon issues that matter to me.
