Do you remember Real Madrid vs Barcelona last year in CL? Pepe got sent off with a red card for a foul on Alves and Stark was the referee. Later video clips showed that Pepe didn't even touch Dani Alves and he was faking.
So my question is, whose fault was that? The referee being unfair, Dani Alves' faking, or do you think Pepe actually did kick him purposefully?
Stark got named as the worst referee by the players of Bundesliga last season, Alves does have a habit of diving, and Pepe loses his temper sometimes.
(This came up as an argument recently, I'm not saying who's right or wrong and I don't mean to be digging out history, just asking for opinion and hopefully someone can solve it)

1. Stark really is an awful referee. I don't even know how he's in Europe. I watch the bundesliga as much as i can but when i see his name i cringe.
2. Yeah Dani over-reacted
3. Pepe went in with excessive force: that'd a red card.
Sometimes Referee comes with a wrong decision in the pitch, that's the part of the football match too. and part of excitement about football.
About CL Semi-final last year, I watched more and more that clip ( foul to Dani Alves from Pepe )
That was too close, I see Pepe didn't even touched him and Dani Alves was really good at faking back there and How could referee see that, that was too close.
Here's the clip for You.... Watch it!

Well, as far as I know any intention of hurting other players is consider to deserve a red card, even if the player A didn't hit the player B at all. So I think that is what Starks took in consideration, the bad intention of Pepe who wasn't obviously going for the ball. Is that tackle hit Alves, I am pretty sure he wouldn´t have lost the rest of the season, or it could have been even worse.
Ok that's it. Sorry if you find my english kinda hard to understand =/
Pepe's red card was result of Alves faking injury and what is my proof on this? It's on how Alves reacted after the supposed foul. Pepe's studs was in line on his leg near his knee. After the supposed contact, Alves touches his ankle.

In the replay, there was no contact, but look at the way Pepe went for Alves, would you blame Alves for saving his leg? or Pepe for trying to break it?
The decision was not easy, but the ref made the right one,at least for attempted dangerous play.
And hey,it's Pepe,he's a magnet to red.
Pepe's intention was clear, he could have easily broken Alves's leg, It was the right decision by the ref.
Studs high challenge ( with an intention of injuring the opposing player ) = RED CARD......
Both referee and Alves. Alves for diving, and referee for giving an undeserved red card.
Pepe
I dont understand. How can you pull your foot back randomly? WTF? I think it was all of their faults. Alves way overrated, Pepe did it intentionally and bad refereeing.
Get over it. You're just but hurt that Madrid is bad compared to Barca. Barca is the best team in the world, nuff said.
